I'm a sucker for not recreating the wheel. When I was a teenager and read that both Alfred Hitchock and Steven Spielberg (my two favorite directors) used storyboards extensively when creating a project... well I thought, who am I to mess with success? So, almost every project I've shot (and some that still haven't been filmed) have been completely storyboarded.

Below is a page from the Justice storyboards. I created the simple page using MS Excel and highlighted each square... each character had their own color. This allowed me to know, just by glancing at the page, which character was needed for each scene.

Justice opens with the main character, only known as the Husband, in his office. His briefcase slams closed, he glances at his clock and quickly leaves the room. He's in a hurry and we're caught up in the action of the scene. I used quick cuts and a lot of camera movment to convey a sense of urgency and excitement.
